PORTLAND, OR - The Idaho Vandals (2-4) are hoping to bounce back from a disappointing loss at the hands of Weber State last weekend, as they travel to Portland to take on the Portland State Vikings this Saturday at 2 P.M. Last year the Vandals defeated the Vikings by a score of 20-7 and are hoping to bring that same toughness and grit into this years' rendition that saw them victors last year. However, the Vandals have yet to win a road game this season.

Portland State (3-3), are coming off of an impressive win over Southern Utah, as it defeated the Thunderbirds by a score of 52-31. The Vikings also took on an SEC team this year in Arkansas and fell just short of the upset in a 20-13 loss.

One of the reasons the Vandals couldn't overcome Weber State last weekend was how it fell behind early, and spent the rest of the game playing catch up, so the Vandals will be hoping for a faster start offensively this weekend. This game is crucial if Idaho hopes to turn this season around, because falling to a 2-5 season record would make things extremely difficult to salvage going forward.
